Watched the YouTube videos but don’t fancy learning on your own walls?
Plastering Training UK was built for people who want real, hands-on experience without committing to college or risking costly mistakes at home. Our beginner-friendly courses are designed to take you from ‘never picked up a trowel’ to understanding the process, building confidence, and producing work you can be proud of; all in a supportive, practical environment
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
Plastering isn't about memorising steps, its about timing, feel, and repetition. That's why our courses are taught in small groups, in real locations, with hands on practice from the start. You'll watch, you'll do, you'll make mistakes, and you'll learn how to fix them. Mistakes are expected, and respected. We focus on finishes you'd be happy to live with in your own home.
Plastering Training UK is founded by Josh, who is a working plasterer with over 20 years of experience in the plastering industry. He also keeps busy running JCP Northwest Plastering, and schedules the training courses around projects. The focus is on teaching plastering as it is actually done on the job, not classroom theory or unrealistic shortcuts. Josh has extensive experience instructing and guiding groups in a wide range of activities and settings. From hands-on workshops to outdoor pursuits, he has supported learners of all abilities and backgrounds, bringing both skill and adaptability to every session.
Maybe you've had plasterers quote the job, but no one turns up.
Maybe the jobs too small, your place is a bit rural, or its just not worth anyone's time.
Maybe you've had electricians or plumbers in and you're left with chasing, patching and making good, and the quote feels hard to justify for what looks like a days work.
Or maybe you want the confidence to do it yourself, to save money, understand what the preparation actually looks like, and stop relying on others to finish things off.
For many people, learning plastering isn't about becoming a plasterer, it is about taking control of their own home.
These courses are not: NVQ's, college, lots of paper work, classroom based or e-learning. The courses provide practical training and a foundation in plastering. They do not provide formal qualification or employment.
